Punto Banco Table Hire and Baccarat Table Hire
Here at Viva Vegas we always look to keep our stock up to date and looking fresh. So with this in mind we have bought a new Baccarat Table which is now available to hire.
The table can be used to play Punto Banco and Baccarat.
What is the difference? I hear you say.
Both Punto Banco and Baccarat use the same principles for values of the cards. All the cards ranked 2 -9 play as their face value. The aces are played as 1 and the 10’s and picture cards are valued at zero. The difference between Punto Banco and Baccarat is that the banker is always the house when playing Baccarat. In Punto Banco you are free to bet on the Banker’s hand or the Player’s hand. You can even bet on the tie, better known as egalite.
In both games you are looking to reach a total of 9. So for instance if you have bet on Punto and the cards dealt to Punto are a King and a 9, you have what is called a natural nine. This is a definite winner as long as the dealer does not also have a natural nine. Natural refers to the hand being made with just two cards.
In Punto Banco, the cards are dealt face up while in baccarat it is the opposite. Punto Banco is more commonly found in casinos across the UK, however some higher end casinos do provide Baccarat, such as Crockfords in Mayfair and the Palm Beach in Berkeley Square.
If you are keen to learn the games we can provide a table with tuition from our croupiers in best practice and the rules of each game. Our Baccarat Table Hire service comes complete also with a genuine Baccarat pallet.
Baccarat tables are a great addition to James Bond themed events as this is the game Bond plays in the original Casino Royale novel from 1953. Bond is also seen playing Baccarat in a host of other films such as Thunderball, Goldeneye and For Your Eye’s Only.
